1972-September CSC's lines service to the Far East commenced with Mv.Lanka Kalyani.

1973- January CSC started training Cadet Officers and Crew.

1973-March Inauguration of the CSC Sports & Welfare Association.

1974-July Lanka Tankers Ltd was setup as Joint Venture with Ceylon Petroleum Corporation to carry Sri Lanka crude. Mt. Tammana was purchased the same year.

1975-March Established of CSC's London Office.

1975-August Colombo Dockyard Ltd converted into a joint venture with CSC holding 75% shares.

1 978-October Marketing Division was established.

1979-October CSC First transhipment facilities commenced via Singapore .

1980-April Freight Brokering Division set up.

1980-December CSC's Computed Division started.

1982-February Containerisation commenced on the CSC Fleet with its first owned vessel Mv.Lanka Siri

1983-December Joint venture with Maersk Line to USA & Canada and the Sales Division was set up.

1990-January Liberalization in shipping trade in Sri Lanka was effected.

1990-March Ceylon Shipping Agency (Pvt) Ltd established as Marketing aim of CSCL.

1992-June Ceylon Shipping Corporation was converted into of Public Ltd Liability Company, as known as the Ceylon Shipping Corporation Ltd .

1996-April Clearing & Forwarding Unit was set up.

2002- December NVOCC operation started.
